 
If microwave or other
secondary treatments have been agreed upon, the
inspector will set a date for treatment that is
convenient for you. When our crew arrives, you and
your pets will need to leave for the duration of
the treatment.
In areas where evidence is found leading into walls,
small holes are drilled in walls to locate the presence
and the species of termites with a special fiber-optic
wall scope. All holes are carefully patched afterward.
In some areas, Hi-Tech may also use the
Termatrac System to detect movement of any insects
or of any termites in various types of wall framing.

Once termites are located in specific wall framing,
the magnatron is set-up and microwaving is performed
in infested areas.
When microwaving proves impractical
Hi-Tech utilizes Termidor injections. Containing
the same active ingredient found in flea repellents
for pets, Termidor spreads like a virus through
a termite colony to eliminate it. Residual Termidor
will keep the area infestation free.
 
Where subterranean termites are discovered our
technician will trench and treat soil and/or drill
through slab foundation and pressure-inject Termidor
or other state registered chemicals.
When treatment is complete our technicians meticulously
clean all work areas and remove any evidence of
termite infestation. The crew chief can either
contact you upon completion or secure your house
for your later arrival.
