Think you have Termites?
Here's a few facts that you may not have known.
Termites cause over one billion dollars in property damage per year in the United States. That's more than all fires and floods combined. Unlike disasters that devastate swiftly, termites work like an insidious disease, slowly and silently eating away your home or other property. Your structure can be damaged without you realizing it.
CHECK FOR YOURSELF
There are three termite species that infest California. These are the subterranean (which is common worldwide); the California drywood; and the Pacific dampwood. Small beige, brown, or black droppings indicate drywood or dampwood termite presence, whereas brown mud tubes or tunnels are evidence of subterranean termite infestation. When termites swarm, you may also see their wings around window sills and floorboards. If you see any of these signs, call immediately for your free inspection. Don't wait for property damage to be added to the list!
