Termite is America’s #1 Termite Defense

Do you know your risk of falling victim to a termite infestation in your home? If you live in Southern California or another termite “hot spot,” your home could be in more danger than you think. According to Pest World, termites cause more than $5 billion in property damage each year in the U.S. That’s why Hi-Tech Termite Control is proud to provide the most advanced, proven termite control available—Termidor termite treatment.

What is Termidor Pesticide for Termites?

Termidor SC is the most widely used termite product in the industry and it works against drywood, subterranean, and Formosan termites. Termidor is a non-repellent, so the termiticide is undetectable to termites and doesn’t deter them—and that’s the secret of the incredible effectiveness of Termidor insecticide. They can’t see it, taste it, or smell it, so they have no reason to avoid it.

As termites come in contact with the Termidor termiticide, they unwittingly infect the other termites in the colony. This creates a cycle of infection known as the Termidor “Transfer Effect™”. As a bonus, Termidor for termites termiticide/insecticide also controls a broad range of other household pests, like spiders, cockroaches, earwigs, millipedes, and more.

How is Termidor SC applied?

Termidor insecticide is applied by a professionally trained, certified technician using different methods. The application used to get rid of your home’s termite infestation could include a method known in the industry as “trenching.” A trench is excavated along the exterior perimeter of your home and/or along the walls of the foundation and around piers. The excavated soil is treated with Termidor SC and replaced in the trenches, creating a continuous ring of protection.

Depending on how your home is constructed and the severity of the termite infestation, it may be necessary to drill holes in foundation slabs or other surfaces next to the foundation of your home. Because Termidor SC is specifically formulated for soil treatment, we use an alternate termite treatment for drywood termites. Termidor® DRY is formulated to treat wood infested with drywood termites or subterranean termites using injection methods, and it provides the same superior effectiveness as regular Termidor.

How effective is Termidor termite treatment?

Termidor is one of the most effective termite treatment products available. It has been used to treat over 4 million homes. Termidor termiticide is a termite defense product that  works better and delivers more protection than any other formula. After treatment application, a Termidor termite treatment achieves 100% control of termites in three months or less.

How long does a Termidor termite treatment last?

According to the manufacturer, field tests by the United States Department of Agriculture-Forest Service show no signs of termite damage in plots treated with Termidor® 80 WG (the granulated form of Termidor termiticide) at labeled rates for over 15 years after treatment. With regular follow-ups from Hi-Tech Termite Control, we will ensure your “Termidor Zone” delivers superior results year after year.

How much is a Termidor treatment?

The cost of a Termidor termite treatment varies and depends on a variety of factors. The size and construction of a home, the severity of the infestation, the termite species, and many other factors. Our Termidor specialists will be happy to provide the best options for the most effective and affordable termite treatment plan.

How safe is Termidor insecticide?

Termidor’s safety record is one of the best in the industry. Termidor insecticide is a water-based, odorless formula that doesn’t leach into soil, so it’s safe for plants and gardens near the treatment areas. When mixed and applied according to the label by a professional termite treatment specialist, Termidor has been used safely in millions of homes with children and pets. For perspective, one of the main active ingredients in Termidor, fipronil, is also an ingredient in some of the leading flea and tick control products for dogs and cats.

Professional results using Termidor require professional termite control technicians.

There is one caveat to Termidor’s effectiveness: it must be precisely applied using specific mixtures of the concentrated termiticide. This is why it is essential to hire a termite professional that you can trust. Our professionals have years of experience in the industry.
